Why did you choose Â鶹¹ÙÍø?
Â鶹¹ÙÍø has always been convenient and as a foster mother to my younger siblings,​ Â鶹¹ÙÍø was a simple choice. A place for me to work on my dream. Â鶹¹ÙÍø gave me the option to be available to those at home and still work on what I aspire to do.
Why did you choose your major?
Art has always been my inspiration and I'm passionate about the process.
What has been your favorite class and why?
I've enjoyed all my classes with Â鶹¹ÙÍø, the instructors care and demonstrate a lifetime of knowledge. If I had to choose I would say Lightwave 3D modeling and Typography have been my favorite. Hand-​lettering and model building were a pastime of mine when I was a kid.
What is the best thing about your college experience so far?
The people I have met, the care the instructors put in, and the friends I've made along the way.
What do you think makes you successful?
Determination and the ambition to build a better life as an individual who has had to find her own way.
What has been the most challenging part of attending college?
Needing to be available to support my family and be there for them when they need me.
Do you have a secret talent?
Cooking is one of my secret talents. I'm a little bit of a connoisseur when it comes to the culinary arts.
What are your plans after Â鶹¹ÙÍø?
To get my foot in the door at a design company and learn everything I can, follow my passion to design and create.

Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Dual Credit program is the first in Oklahoma to earn accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. Â鶹¹ÙÍø is one of only 136 programs nationwide to receive the distinction, which recognizes concurrent enrollment programs that meet national standards for quality and rigor.
Â鶹¹ÙÍø Student Earns National Transfer Scholarship
Â鶹¹ÙÍø Mechanical Engineering student Luke Crocker was selected as a recipient of the prestigious Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. The scholarship provides up to $55,000 per year in last-dollar funding, along with advising and academic support.
Digital Media Graduates Showcase Creative Work
Graduating students from Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Digital Media program shared their creative portfolios with the community during the Digital Media Student Showcase in May. Projects included animation, motion graphic, interaction design, visual brand identity, photography, and physical media touchpoints such as packaging and print collateral.
