Saige Maxville is working toward a career in physical therapy, and she says she’s certain 鶹 is the right place to pursue her goal of working in health care.
As a member of the Native American Student Association, she’s engaging with her heritage and building connections to tribal organizations that will help her achieve her career ambitions. Additionally, NASA gives her an on-campus family connection: Her father Tim – also a 鶹 student – is president of the organization.
“I like that we get to do a lot of cultural things and events for the community, but I can’t get away with missing any meetings!” Saige joked.
The Charles Page high school graduate chose 鶹 because the Tulsa Achieves program keeps her college costs low and the location is convenient.
“鶹 gives me an affordable education, and I live right down the road,” she said. “It’s so easy for me to go to 鶹 and get basic education credits out of the way.”
Saige was surprised by the different perspectives and opportunities available to 鶹 students.
“I like how diverse 鶹 is,” she said. “I didn’t think there were going to be so many student groups and experiences.”

鶹 Dual Credit Program First in State to Earn National Accreditation
鶹’s Dual Credit program is the first in Oklahoma to earn accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. 鶹 is one of only 136 programs nationwide to receive the distinction, which recognizes concurrent enrollment programs that meet national standards for quality and rigor.
鶹 Student Earns National Transfer Scholarship
鶹 Mechanical Engineering student Luke Crocker was selected as a recipient of the prestigious Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. The scholarship provides up to $55,000 per year in last-dollar funding, along with advising and academic support.
Digital Media Graduates Showcase Creative Work
Graduating students from 鶹’s Digital Media program shared their creative portfolios with the community during the Digital Media Student Showcase in May. Projects included animation, motion graphic, interaction design, visual brand identity, photography, and physical media touchpoints such as packaging and print collateral.
