Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø welcomes Dr. Matthew Olsen as Chief Human Resources Officer and John Price as Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel to the President's Cabinet. Both leaders bring extensive experience and strategic insight to the College and support Âé¶¹¹Ù꿉۪s mission of accessible, quality education for the Tulsa community.
Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø announces the addition of two key members to its President’s Cabinet. Dr. Matthew Olsen has been named Chief Human Resources Officer, and John Price will serve as Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel.
Both Olsen and Price bring a wealth of experience to their roles, offering strategic leadership and guidance to Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø as the institution continues its mission of providing accessible, quality education to the Tulsa community.
Dr. Matthew Olsen, Ed.D., has served as Assistant Chief Human Resources Officer at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø for the past two years and has been the acting Chief Human Resources Officer since April 2024. His career with Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø first began in 2004 as a Counselor, a position he held for two years before transitioning to Oral Roberts University, where he worked for nearly 19 years in a variety of roles, including Director of HR and Title IX Coordinator. Olsen holds a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from ORU. He’s led significant projects at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, including overseeing a compensation study, negotiating health insurance contracts, and supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, and professional development initiatives.
John Price, J.D., joined Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø in October and brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit administration. Prior to joining the College, Price was President and General Counsel of the Sigma Chi Foundation, a 501(c)3 and IRS Public Charity that supports Sigma Chi Fraternity. He has also served as Associate General Counsel for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges Board of Regents. Price holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Oklahoma State University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He is a member of both the Oklahoma and Illinois Bar Associations.
As members of the President’s Cabinet, both Olsen and Price will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø through their leadership and expertise.

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø President and CEO Leigh B. Goodson will be inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame's 2026 class. The statewide honor recognizes Goodson’s leadership at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø and her broader contributions to higher education, student success, and educational opportunity in Oklahoma.
